The Blood Bowl pile of shame

What’s this?

This is my on-going struggle to paint a lot of blood bowl teams. The actual data on the progress is in a google doc here:

I’ve written a rambling blether about whats this is all about in a git hub pages site where I dump ramblings.

Rusty Yellow Orcs

I bought the core team for these guys second hand on ebay for a tenner. They were dark red and dry brushed silver. Pretty messy. I couldn’t be bothered removing the paint so I just dry brushed a load of white over them and started slapping speed paints on. I think it was while I was playing DnD. I wasn’t being at all precious, just getting paint on and seeing what contrast paints can do.

They started turning out better than I thought. Then I ended up buying the forge world extra positionals to supplement them....

Stealing a name for a winning team

Yeah I totally stole Ian’s team name and idea. At some poitn I’ll doubtless steal (appropriate?) one of the best ever team naems ever ever, the Callous Drowboys. We shall see.

I played these guys for four seasons (I think) including a redraft. they are formidable. Losses and drawers tended to come down to very marginal critical dice, or a slight mistake. I did enjoy them though.

The team is on Tourplay.

I’ve really enjoyed playing these skaven. I used them at a sevens tournement and later took them to UKTC the first time I went. These were one of the first teams I used army painter speed paints in and I did the bulk of the work (after the zenith dry brush highlighting) in a day. I’ve since touched up bits and pieces on them. I really should protective varnish them.
